Growing up Gullah Geechee on a farm with his grandparents, fishing & farming were a regular day for Kelz and dinner came from a day’s work. Born and raised on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina - shrimping, crabbing and oyster shucking came easy to Kelz. On a 2-mile peninsula of nothing but family, Sol Legare’ Road connects the waterfront properties of family heirs. His heritage provides motivation and his life is rich in unforgettable experiences that many can only read about in history books. This Geechee believes in preserving his family heritage and the traditions of the Gullah Geechee culture.
